James Wu is a graduate of Mannes the New School for Music (BM '11 violin, MM '13 composition).
James has been filming concerts and musical performances since 2014. He is driven by his desire to document and preserve memories that would otherwise be lost forever. Sometimes these performances occurred in strange and unconventional spaces, but James was always up for the challenge.
James has the flexibility and resources to operate on-the-go or grounded setups. This allows him to work within the confines of most types of events. On film sets, James has occasionally stepped in as cinematographer.

James is an experienced
music video editor, whose style of visual narrative editing is
supplemented by his background in musical performance. Using the
philosophies of how music tells a story, James has also edited narrative
films in ways that intensify dramatic impact.
